Sharing files
Authors, admins and owners already see every file in the client account. Sharing decides which viewers see a file.
Share a file
Section titled “Share a file”- Choose Saved files… in the Settings and data menu.
- Choose Share on the file’s row.
- Pick who sees it:
- All viewers in the account, including people added later, or
- Or choose viewers: tick each viewer who should see it.
Each choice is saved as you make it. The Shared with column then shows All viewers, No viewers, or how many.
What gets shared
Section titled “What gets shared”Sharing applies to the file’s whole dataset: every version, including versions saved later. A viewer never loses a file because someone saved a newer copy.
What the viewer sees
Section titled “What the viewer sees”Nothing is emailed. The viewer finds the file in Saved files… the next time they look, and can open it.
Take a share back
Section titled “Take a share back”Open Share again and untick the viewer, or untick all viewers. They stop seeing the file at once.
No viewers listed?
Section titled “No viewers listed?”The dialog lists viewers only. If your account has none, an owner or admin can add them in Members.
The account’s log
Section titled “The account’s log”Every share given or taken back is recorded with who made it and when.
