Saved files
Saving a file keeps it in your client account. Your team then opens the same copy instead of passing files around.
Save a file
Section titled “Save a file”- Sign in at app.binbox.ai and load your data file.
- Open the Settings and data menu at the top right and choose Save to BInbox.
A message shows the progress, then ends with, for example: “Saved sales.csv to Northwind as version 3 of Sales.”
- The file becomes the next version of its dataset. The dataset is named by the file’s setup, or else by the file’s name. Its setup is saved with it.
- Large files go up in pieces. If the connection drops, the upload carries on from where it stopped.
- Saving needs the author, admin or owner role. For a viewer, Save to BInbox is greyed out.
- Saving never replaces an earlier version. Every version stays, so a report can always be rebuilt from the file it was made from.
